Jason teaches Prana Flow® vinyasa and restorative yoga in New York City and Paris, France. He also organizes wellness retreats in the South of France. Jason began his yoga studies in New York City in the summer of 1998 while working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer. Yoga was a perfect confluence of Jason's spiritual beliefs and his education in acrobatics, dance, and performing arts.
From Dharma Mittra he learned the traditional Hindu roots of yoga and all its eight limbs of practice. From Cyndi Lee and her first fleet of instructors at OM yoga he garnered a supreme knowledge of alignment and anatomical perspectives to the asanas, as well as a Buddhist approach to meditation, compassion, and mindfulness.
While living in Los Angeles for several months in 2001, Jason kept going back to Shiva Rea’s classes at Yoga Works in Santa Monica. After a few significant experiences with her (like little lights going on inside of him), he told himself that if she ever offered a teacher training he would sign up. In 2003 at Sacred Movement in Venice, California, she did and he did too. Jason has gone on to do intensive teacher trainings with Rodney Yee, and over 300 hours of Prana Flow with Shiva Rea. Jason has taught for Equinox Fitness, David Barton Gym, Exhale and Sonic Yoga in New York City and in Rasa Yoga Rive Gauche in Paris. His classes are awesome!
For Jason yoga is an ancient art that has evolved and expanded through time and history, but at it's heart it is still a system to purify and heal the various bodies of the individual, as well as to align the yogi with God, Brahma, Creation, whatever you want to call it.
